Partner Spotlight: Edison International

An unwavering partner in supporting our STEM programs, we are grateful for the support Edison International has provided EXP since 2014.

They have provided the energy, both in people and resources, to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders in our students and propel them to succeed in school, career, and life.

“Edison International is proud to support EXP’s work to spark inspiration in the next generation of STEM leaders,” said Bronwen Begakis, Corporate Philanthropic Advisor, Southern California Edison. “Programs like the Women in STEM Career Day help foster the energy and diversity we need to move our industry and state toward a clean energy future.”

We look forward to having Edison International participate at  Women in STEM Career Day on February 24.

Your Support in Action

Internship Program Workshops are Back in School

EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis career-readiness workshops are now back in person! This past fall, we held two of our first in-person workshops for resume and cover letter writing, generously hosted by Los Angeles Harbor College.

With the feedback we received, we are going into the spring semester with all of the workshops being held at each school site, starting this week!

College Day for Barstow Students

EXP-supported Barstow and Central High School students toured the Barstow Community College (BCC) last week. The students checked out the College's new Career and Technical Education facility, and some even signed up for concurrent enrollment and trades classes.

Thank you, BCC for opening your doors to our students!

Oceans of Opportunity 2023

We are counting down the days to honor our dedicated partners; Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA) and Pat Wilson of Fast Lane Transportation. We will also recognize our scholarship recipients and the Carol Rowen 180 Degree Award honoree.

Level Up: Programs for Young Adults

EXP’s LEVEL UP: Professional Development Programs for Young Adults return next week on Wednesday, February 8, 5:30-6:30 p.m. via Zoom, led by EXP Board Member Ron Roberts, Jr.

Building an Authentic, Engaging & Impactful Brand for Your Career Journey workshop will teach you how to develop a candidate brand that will be true to who you are and one that will also attract and add value to potential and current employers.
