The Road Ahead: A Message from EXP Board Chair Telebah Woods
Dear friends, colleagues, and partners of EXP,
As Amy announced her plan to depart from her role as CEO, I would like to express my fellow board members’ gratitude and appreciation for Amy’s thoughtful leadership, unwavering commitment, and the tight-knit community of supporters she has built over 16 years.
Amy began her journey as a dedicated and exceptional board member in 2007 and took on the role of CEO in 2010. Since then, she has helped usher in a new strategic plan through the Board of Directors and staff, built new important strategic partnerships with complementary partners, and helped improve and stabilize operations and organizational processes, among many other accomplishments. Amy leaves EXP in a very strong position for continued growth, and we sincerely thank her for her contribution and leadership.
As Amy said, this truly is the perfect point and the solid foundation from which the Transition Committee can now launch the search to fill this driver’s seat. The Board Transition Committee has engaged the search firm Envision Consulting. We will keep you informed as the process moves forward.
With the Board’s full support, EXP will continue going full steam ahead, committed to our mission of preparing students for a better life, with Amy remaining in her position until we hire and onboard her successor. As much as we will miss Amy greatly, we look forward to handing over the key to the opportunity engine to the next capable hand. We are confident that whatever new endeavor Amy is taking on next, it will be just as amazing as she is.
With gratitude,
Telebah Woods
EXP Board Chair
