EXP Stands in Solidarity Against Hatred

Dear Members of the EXP Family,

At EXP, our daily work is an expression of love for others and fervent hope for a brighter future for all. There is no room for hate nor time for intolerance.

We are shocked and saddened by recent horrific acts of violence against members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.  Our hearts go out to the families of the victims of this senseless violence, and we join the call to combat racism, misogyny and hatred in all its forms.

Back in June of 2020, we added our voice to the collective cry for justice in support of the Black community reeling from the tragic murder of George Floyd.  Perhaps more importantly, we also moved with purpose to launch our Young Fellows Program, which aims to provide mentorship and support to boys of color.  The fact that this month’s workshop focuses on self-advocacy and addressing social injustice makes us pause to reflect on how much work there is yet to be done.

Young people look to us for guidance. We need to be the role models they deserve.
