EXP-2020campaign.png

This month, we’re kicking off EXP’s 20th anniversary celebration with the launch of our 20/20 Vision Campaign. The 9-month campaign promotes our 20-years of achievement for more than 20,000 underserved high school students whose lives have improved through EXP’s career-based education and workforce readiness services. The campaign also celebrates our vision for 20 more years of progress in raising the career education bar for more young people in Southern California.

Our plans include an online campaign to boost awareness for our life-changing youth services among individuals in Southern California’s business and academic communities. Also, EXP alumni - going back 20 years! - can look for more opportunities to stay engaged and connected, in part, through the launch of our exclusive, new alumni e-news publication The Spark. Then, in March, we’ll be featuring creative, new sponsorship recognition opportunities and event-night festivities as part of our 20th Annual Oceans of Opportunity Dinner & Scholarship Celebration on March 26th.

You’ll also have opportunities to join our EXP 20/20 Vision Community, a dedicated group of supporters who are helping us build tomorrow’s workforce while leveling the career playing field for more young people, regardless of their economic circumstance. Look for more information soon!

IN BRIEF

Meet Brent Williams, Our Newest Member of the EXP Board of Directors

We are proud to introduce Mr. Brent Williams, who recently joined our esteemed EXP Board of Directors team. As regional manager of City National Bank’s Los Angeles Commercial Banking division, Williams brings valuable financial services expertise to the board, along with strong enthusiasm for EXP’s mission and programs. In fact, he has already joined both our Executive and Audit Committees, and visited our recent Parent-Student Orientation event that helps prepare students for this year’s EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis.

“I am honored and excited to join the EXP Board of Directors,” said Williams. “As the organization prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary, I look forward to working with the wonderful team at EXP and helping them to continue to grow and make a positive impact on the future career goals of high school youth from the region’s underserved communities.”

Williams has more than 25 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining City National Bank, he worked in a variety of roles at Wells Fargo, most recently as an executive vice president and region head responsible for the Westside of Los Angeles as well as head of the bank’s Southern California Middle Market Technology, Media and Telecom team. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
