EXP Made Education Real for Orange County Educators and Employers
On September 27, EXP hosted the Employer Engagement Summit in partnership with Rancho Santiago Community College District and California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) at Urban Workshop in Costa Mesa.
An engaged group of industry leaders and college educators participated in a full day of programming including a talk on the disruptive economy by Wallace Walrod, Ph.D., Executive Researcher, Orange County Business Council and a presentation about TalentED program by Brian Donnelly, Ph.D., Learning Curved Inc., Stephanie Feger, Technical Assistance Provider – OC, and a panel of TalentED student participants.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion, “Navigating the Here and Now Reality of the Disruptive Economy.” This lively portion of the summit was moderated by Todd Gasparik, Vice President of Business Development Smart Planet Technologies. The panelists include Ladan Davia, CEO & Founder, Beeya, on the future of hiring; TJ Kinion, Program Manager, Learningfuze, on the importance of coding for today’s and tomorrow’s workforce; and Cara Rafelle, VP Marketing, ManifestSeven, discussing the cannabis industry.
