Volunteer Opportunities in Long Beach and Carson - May 13-24
MAY 16: ENGINEERS NEEDED AT SATO ACADEMY
We're looking for volunteers with engineering backgrounds to serve as panel judges on Thursday, May 16, at our partner school, Sato Academy of Math and Science, in Long Beach. You will evaluate and provide feedback on biomedical and engineering projects on program culmination day.

8:50-11:00 a.m. - 10th Grade Roller Coaster Lift System Demo: Demonstrations and a symposium for a turnaround system for their roller coaster.
11:25 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. - 11th Grade Engineering Assembly Line & Biomedical Pulse Oximeters Demos: Demonstrations and symposium for pulse oximeter for targeted medical application and an automated factory system using robotic arms.
5:45- 8:15 p.m. - 12th Grade Engineering Capstone Panel Presentations: Panel presentations of students' engineering design solutions to address a real-world challenge.
