Host an EXP Intern This Summer!
Did you know that 89% of employers said high school students with internship experience will have a competitive advantage when looking for a college internship or full-time job? Hosting an EXP intern this summer will give our students that advantage, unlock doors, and prepare them to succeed in school, career and life.
High school juniors in EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis are only a few workshops away from completing their career-readiness training and getting ready for mock interviews (read more below) to prepare themselves for the placement interview on June 20th.
Host one of our interns for four weeks from Monday, July 9 through Friday, August 4, for 20-30 hours per week (80-100 hours total). Not only will you gift our students with a valuable life experience, but your organization will also benefit in the following ways!
Create a future hiring pool: Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. Your support opens the doors for future employee recruitment.
Make an impact in a young person’s life: Inspire ambition and provide EXP students with resume-worthy work experience that will lead them toward academic and career success.
Invest locally: Serve the community where you work and raise awareness for your company and industry.

EXP Spotlight: TPM23 DEI Honors Recognition
On February 28, 2023 at TPM23, the premier conference for the trans-Pacific and global container shipping and logistics community, EXP received special recognition. The Journal of Commerce (JOC), conference organizers, presented this honor “In recognition of your organization's dedication to driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) forward, the TPM23 DEI Honors independent judging panel gave EXP a special mention for Best Small - Medium Organization. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!”
“This recognition cements EXP’s position as an important educational partner in the industry’s continuing efforts to reflect and serve the communities in which they operate,” said Michael Leue, CEO of ACTA and current EXP Board member, “ DEI efforts ensure our industry can continue to innovate and thrive.”
JOC launched the TPM DEI Honors in 2021 to recognize and honor leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the transportation and logistics sectors. Other awardees included long time EXP industry partner Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI), who received the award for Standout DEI Recruitment Initiatives based on efforts to diversify its workforce through hiring and recruitment practices. Clearly EXP is in good company with industry leaders like DCLI, who share our commitment to DEI and unlocking opportunity for youth in our communities.

Your Support in Action: Women in STEM 2023
“Never let anyone stop you from doing what you love to do, and you can achieve anything--never let them tell you differently.” That is one of the many takeaways from more than 300 high school young women from 11 high schools who participated at the EXP’s Women in STEM Career Day on February 24, hosted by Long Beach City College.
25 exhibitors and nearly 150 volunteers also braved the Southern California rainstorms to spend an inspiring day with our students. “It was such an empowering day for all of us!” said Hannah White, Engineer from Toyota. Thank you to all event volunteers and supporters!
