Nearly 500 Students Explored Career Possibilities at GPS Your Future™
More than 50 companies and 25 guest speakers volunteered at this annual event
EXP’s premier career discovery event, 9th Annual GPS Your Future™, took place at Long Beach City College on October 25, 2019. Nearly 500 9th and 10th grade high school students from around Southern California were introduced to more than 50 prospective employers from a wide cross-section of high-growth industries.
The day started off with the keynote speaker Anthony D. Mays, a software engineer at Google and a tech interview coach. Students then explored a career expo, where companies showcased their industries. After an interactive technology break that provided fun and recreation for the students, the event wrapped up with breakout speaker sessions where industry professionals share their career journeys.
