“The opportunity engine” builds on the 19-year legacy of preparing students for a better life

Los Angeles, CA (September 10, 2018) – International Trade Education Programs, Inc. (ITEP), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Carson and operating throughout Southern California, announced today its name change to ‘EXP’. The comprehensive rebrand represents the organization’s 19 years of strength in bringing industry and schools together to prepare young people for school, career and life.

In addition to a new name, the rebrand includes a new logo, tagline, positioning, and website: www.EXPfuture.org.

“We have chosen EXP because it embodies two concepts at the core of all that we do: EXPonential growth and opportunity for our students through real world EXPeriences in school and on the job,” said CEO Amy Grat. “The new name and brand reflect our growth and position us well for future expansion and long-term sustainability.”

With its new tagline “The opportunity engine,” the EXP brand builds on all ITEP has done, captures the organization’s entrepreneurial drive, honors its enduring legacy in the Port of Los Angeles, and remains true to its core goal: to help young people gain experience, unlock doors and build the confidence they need to succeed in school, career and life.

“Today, 19 years since our founding, we serve schools beyond our original radius of the Port of Los Angeles harbor area and engage industry sectors beyond maritime and international trade. We have outgrown our current name, logo and ‘Going Global’ tagline,” said Grat.

“By changing our name, we create a brand that can expand into new regions and industries and leverage our successful high school programming to include K-8, college and beyond. Our heart is always in the harbor and our eyes are on the future.”
