Why interns are good for business
Dear Friends,
After a decade of thinking about it, years of talking about it, months of planning for it, and weeks of preparing for it, on September 10, ITEP finally stepped out with a new name, brand and website. We are now EXP – The opportunity engine. Many thanks to the passionate and persistent staff, Board of Directors and the guidance of our consulting brand agency, VENT.
From the moment of our launch, it has been non-stop action. We debuted the new brand on campus for the first time to Narbonne High School freshmen (and thankfully, they loved it!), previewed our new banners and marketing materials to our Board of Directors, received a generous grant award from the TK Foundation, and launched the 2019 EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis (you can read more about this below).
We were thrilled to welcome our newest EXP internship candidates last week, and especially proud to celebrate our last ITEP internship class earlier this summer. Our 68 host employers from Summer 2018 know very well that interns are good for business. By opening their doors to an EXP intern, they are investing in a brighter future where the ROI may be a future employee, customer or community leader. We look forward to placing interns in 2019 and welcome partners who recognize the value proposition of fostering career EXPloration.
Thank you all for your support and partnership for our past 19 years of growth and evolution as ITEP. We look forward to continuing to prepare students for a better future, together, as EXP.
Best,
Amy and Team EXP
2018 Internship Culmination
In August, we celebrated the completion of the 2018 Internship Program (our last as ITEP)at The Plaza at Cabrillo Marina. Last year’s program was our largest and most successful, thanks to the support of all of our internship partners, internship scholarship sponsors, internship employers and supervisors, educational partners, volunteers, families, and students!
